Traveling to Dubai during COVID 19

Dubai is currently open to tourists but, a PCR test is required before traveling to Dubai. As of January 31, 2021:

  • All travelers entering Dubai must have a valid negative COVID 19 PCR (nasal swab) test certificate

  • The test should not be taken more than 72 hours before departure

  • SMS or digital certificates are not accepted

  • Certificate should be printed in English or Arabic

 

You will be asked to present your valid negative PCR test certificate multiple times in your travels to Dubai:

  1. At the airport before departure (baggage check in)- please DO NOT DISCARD the PCR test after check in your baggage

  2. When you land in Dubai upon deplaning, you will be asked to present the PCR test again (before Customs)

  3. Before exiting the airport will be the final time you will be asked to present the valid negative PCR test (at Customs)

Even after you leave the airport, you should NOT DISCARD the valid negative COVID test until you returned to the USA.

  • The PCR test should not be taken more than 72 hours before departure

  • SMS or digital certificates are not accepted

  • Certificate should be printed in English or Arabic

 

Dubai has several sites open for COVID testing however, The Dubai Experience will have convenient onsite testing at the host hotel, The Ghaya Grand. The cost to take the test at the hotel is $60 USD and can be purchase in advance on The DUBAI EXPERIENCE website.
